I am Fr. Pat Crone, a retired Priest of the Archdiocese of Cincinnati. I am very happy to be the Weekend Associate at St. Veronica and have the opportunity to share in the ministry of St. Veronica Parish. I started as Weekend Associate at St. Veronica on March 5, 2011.
I grew up in Owensville, Ohio, a member of St. Louis Parish. I graduated from Clermont Northeastern High School, spent some time in the United States Air Force, before starting at University of Cincinnati and then University of Dayton majoring in Accounting.
My life took a different direction and I entered the seminary to prepare to become a Priest. I was Ordained a Priest for the Archdiocese of Cincinnati on May 29, 1971. I have been privileged to be part of many different ministries: Hospital Chaplain at Bethesda North, High School Teacher at Carroll High School, Juvenile Court Chaplain for Montgomery County, Campus Minister at Wilmington College, Associate Youth Director and Vocation Director for the Archdiocese and Dean of St. Martin Deanery.
I have also had the opportunity for ministry as Pastor at: Nativity, Pleasant Ridge; St. Columbkille, Wilmington; St. Andrew, Milford; St. Mary, Bethel; Our Mother of Good Counsel, Felicity; St. Saviour, Deer Park.
I retired from Administration (you do not retire from being a priest) in July, 2010, to help my sister with the care of my mother. I now live with my mother, Marie Crone and my sister, Marlene Rhodes. I help with Masses, Confessions, Funerals, Baptisms, etc. at many Parishes throughout the Archdiocese as time allows.
We are all very proud to be members of St. Veronica Parish.
