Taize Prayer, Soup Supper and Easter Bag Project
Again this year, St Veronica Stewardship Commission will be assembling 400 Easter bags for the children and families of Hope Emergency Services in Brown County.
You can help by taking a paper Easter ‘egg” asking for either a bag of individually wrapped Easter Candy or a $5.00 cash donation. We will be passing these “eggs” out on the weekends of March 16th and 17th and 23th and 24th. There will be bins in the narthex for the return of the candy after masses on the weekends of March 23th and 24th and March 30st and March 31st. The monetary donations can be put in the collection basket. Donations can also be dropped off at the Parish Ministry Center during normal business hours. We ask all donations to be returned by Monday, April 8th.
The monies collected will cover the cost of the stickers, crayons, activity books, toothbrushes, toothpaste, etc. which will be included in the bags, along with the candy.
The filling of the treat bags will be done in conjunction with the Parish Taize Prayer and Soup Supper held on Wednesday, April 10. The Taize prayer begins at 6:00pm, followed by Soup Supper at 6:30 and then ending with the assembly of the Easter bags beginning at 7:00-7:15pm. Each of these events of the evening can be attended separately if you are unable to stay for the entire evening. It is a wonderful evening of prayer, fellowship and service. Thank you all for your support.
