Christian education attempts to form the human person in relationship with the other members of society. Through the teaching of Gospel values, St. Veronica School prepares the students to function as responsible stewards of God. Our seventh grade classes are our mission program leaders. The program for this year is outlined below by Sr. Delouise.

Mission Enrollment Week - October 22 – 26, 2007
As missionaries of compassion , we reach out to the Navajo people at St. Mary Mission in Tohatchi, New Mexico.
Our school community will:
- pray for the Navajo people
- commit ourselves to mission service all year by signing a footprint—symbol of compassion
- make a generous donation to assist the Navajo children at St. Mary Mission in Tohatchi

Report on October Mission Effort
St. Veronica School has a strong and faithful history of proclaiming the Gospel to the world, by our own speaking and living, but also by our generous giving. This year, during our annual Mission Enrollment Week, the students and staff made a pledge to be personally involved in sharing Good News with everyone. Each individual signed a “footprint of compassion” as a sign our own willingness to walk with those in need and to carry love and kindness to the poor, needy, and the oppressed. Each person also made a freewill donation—an expression of love in action.
The donations offered during Enrollment Week amounted to over $750. This money will be sent to St. Mary Mission in Tohatchi, New Mexico. This mission, situated on the Navajo reservation, provides much needed services to the people, including a food pantry. One important endeavor of the mission is to arrange transportation for dozens of children and teens who attend St. Michael Elementary and High School, 38 miles away, in Arizona. Founded by St. Katherine Drexel, St. Michael’s offers a quality educational program for the Navajo children.
St. Veronica’s mission enrollment donations will be used this year to help pay the drivers who transport the children in vans each day to and from St. Michael School. We thank everyone for their support and generosity.
