Our library has more than 427 Biographies, 1007 easy/picture books, 2771 fiction titles, and 2953 nonfiction titles. We also own 773 videos and DVDs which are used in classroom instruction.
Students visit the library once a week and those in grades 3-8 may check out 2 books for 2 weeks, while grades 1 & 2 may check out 1 book for 1 week. Kindergarten students use their classroom libraries.
Funds for purchasing new library books, supplies,a nd accelerated reading tests, videos and DVDs come from the two Scholastic Book Fairs that are held each year, one in October and the other in March.
Donations supplement library monies.
The Accelerated Reading program is available to students in grades K-5, with a focus on reading comprehension.
